Neptune

The windiest planet, at the edge of the solar system, with its moon Triton.

Neptune was found through mathematics before anyone saw it: astronomers noticed Uranus being tugged off course and predicted where an unseen planet should be. It was spotted near that position in 1846.

It has the fastest winds measured on any planet, around 2,000 km per hour. Its largest moon, Triton, orbits backwards, against the planet's spin, which suggests it was captured from the outer solar system long ago.
