Jupiter

The largest planet, with a storm wider than Earth and the volcanic moon Io.

Jupiter is more than twice as massive as all the other planets combined. It is a gas giant with no solid surface, wrapped in cloud bands of ammonia and water that its fast spin stretches into stripes.

The Great Red Spot is a storm wider than Earth that has been watched for at least 150 years. Jupiter also has dozens of moons. The four largest were discovered by Galileo in 1610, and one of them, Io, is the most volcanically active world we know.

Jupiter fills the sky with its stripes and the Great Red Spot, with yellow Io nearby. By now the course has picked up speed, and plasma arcs and laser gates start to appear more often.
